PROJECT DETAILS

Tucked away in the walk streets of Venice lives this sweet little cottage. I first walked into this home having a bright Orange wall and espresso kitchen cabinets, teal stripes in the bathroom, run down maple floors, and . This home begged for some sweet design mercy.

My client has a very chic style, a gorgeous collection of art and a posh taste in furniture. I wanted her home to be as warm and inviting as she is but yet reflect the playfulness and spirit that she encompasses. We were inspired by Devol Kitchens as well as the way the Italians know how to effortlessly pair texture with calming neutral tones. We also wanted to include some of her love and connection to San Francisco with a few pops of bright colors all while giving ode to the original cottage feel.

We took a classic approach with a modern flare. The Kelly Werstler chandelier in the dining room is to die for, the modern take on the triangular check in the bathroom paired with a mini version, we kept the simplicity of the fireplace by changing the color and swapping tile, we built a drop dead gorgeous Statuario slab for a bougie bar, added a skylight to bring in natural light, and topped it off with a simple but chic furniture and art display. Our contractor Mauricio was perfection. His attention to detail and expertise to work through all the design ins and outs was flawless.. Proud of this one. And Proud to have found new friendships along the way.
